Are the tides starting to change?
There’s been a lot of talk lately about whether or not things are finally starting to slow down…unfortunately the answer is not as simple as yes or no.
In some cases, we are seeing properties sell for their asking price or slightly under but in others we are still seeing many offers resulting in a sale significantly over asking
The data is showing us that the average is still pointing towards a seller’s market. The average days on the market for both waterfront and residential properties in Haliburton County is sitting at 11, typically their offer day.
Sale prices are sitting at 125% of asking for residential properties and 118% of asking for waterfront properties. However, units have come up substantially with 36 sales in residential and 18 on waterfront for the month of march. Sale prices are up 32% on residential properties from March of 2021 and 55% on waterfront properties.
