March 2022 Real Estate Market Report
Are the tides starting to change?
There’s been a lot of talks lately about whether or not things are finally starting to slow down, unfortunately, the answer is not as simple as yes or no.
In some cases, we are seeing properties sell for their asking price or slightly under but in others we are still seeing many offers resulting in a sale significantly over asking.
The data is showing us that the average is still pointing towards a seller’s market. The average days on the market for both waterfront and residential properties in Haliburton County is sitting at 11, typically their offer day.
Sale prices are sitting at 125% of asking for residential properties and 118% of asking for waterfront properties. However, units have come up substantially with 36 sales in residential and 18 on the waterfront for the month of March. Sale prices are up 32% on residential properties from March of 2021 and 55% on waterfront properties.
