With over 16 years of experience focusing on waterfront properties, Shirley has been a cottager in the area since the mid-1960’s and moved here permanently in 2003. She met her husband Ted while staying at Kennisis Lake when she was a teenager. They bought their first cottage on Little Redstone in 1969 and built their retirement home on the same lake in the late 90’s.

Shirley became a Real Estate Salesperson in 2005 and a Broker in 2012. She was on Haliburton’s top team in waterfront sales for 9 years and has been the recipient of Chestnut Park’s Chairman’s award for the past 3 years. Working in real estate works well with her husband Ted’s “retirement” professions (professional engineering consultant and running a cottage rental business).

Moving frequently as a military wife, she had always had a keen interest in the real estate market, so it was a natural progression for her to go into real estate after careers in teaching, banking and working for Passport Canada – Ontario Directorate. After 50 years of marriage, Ted and Shirley are now blessed with 4 wonderful children and 8 awesome grandchildren, all of whom have adopted the Haliburton area as their home away from home.

Sam is the newest member of the team and is proud to have been born and raised in Haliburton County. She knows and loves all things cottage country.

Sam graduated from Georgian College with a degree in business, then went on to run her own Professional Organizing business for a few years. Always interested in Real Estate Sam decided to make the jump to work with Shirley. After only a few months Sam knew that Real Estate was where she wanted to be.

From photos to advertisements, she does it all! She manages the team’s marketing strategy and social media, working to showcase all your property has to offer, while being there to assist you with any questions you might have.
